Studio Vincent Eschalier renovated an old printing factory in the 10th arrondissement of Paris into a complex of 17 lofts, while revealing the history of this place dating back to 1789.
The original façade was preserved and the light sources have been multiplied in all the rooms thanks to the large windows and the glass roof. In each apartment, the space was distributed in such a way as to create a large living-room/kitchen complex, while the bedroom was placed on the first floor. The materials chosen reflect the original function of the building. Magnified old metal structures, which are made of black thermo-lacquered steel and found through the beams, columns, a spiral staircase, and in the form of a steel framework under the ceilings.
The building also boasts a terrace made of wood and glass. The height of the building provides residents with an isolated cocoon of greenery.
